GPS Locator
There are some very interesting types of GPS locators on the market today which will help a family keep track of the whereabouts of various things such as children, pets, backpacks, and even bicycles.
The Zoombak A-GPS Universal Locator is a small device that is less than 3” x 2″ and weighs only 2.5 ounces. The idea is to place this locator in a backpack, in a pocket, on a collar or anywhere on the item you want to keep track of.
This location device is then tracked through a web interface that will show you where whatever you are tracking is located. The company has developed the software so that you can specify a personal safety zone (up to 10 zones actually) that will alert you via an email or text message when the unit enters or leaves that particular zone.
Another feature of this device is to alert you every five minutes as to the location of the device that tracks up to an hour and is available on their online tracking system.
On other cool feature of this device is that it combines both satellite and cellular technology which helps to more preceisely determine the location of the tracker.
